The meeting took place on Thursday morning at the Sheraton Hotel in Sharjah and was attended by 14 heads of suburb councils, 5 heads of parents' councils, and several department directors.
Sheikh Majid expressed his profound thanks and appreciation for the councils' unwavering efforts in implementing His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's vision of serving the community.
He emphasized the significance of the department's roles in enhancing communication and cooperation among different segments of society, highlighting that these efforts demonstrate the department's dedication to achieving social objectives and meeting the needs of the Sharjah community in all cities and regions of the emirate.

Dr. Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Suburbs Affairs Department, emphasized the significance of the annual meeting for exchanging ideas and experiences among council heads and discussing their challenges.
Al Kabouri explained that the department always seeks to provide the necessary support to councils to enable them to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. He pointed out that teamwork and cooperation between various parties are the keys to achieving success and accomplishments.
At the meeting, the suburb council's work reports were brought up and thoroughly discussed, focusing on both the accomplishments and obstacles encountered in the previous period.
The review also included an examination of the educational responsibilities of parents' councils in assisting the educational process and improving the interaction between schools and families.
