This year's celebrations were held under the theme "A Touch of Loyalty to the Givers," in an atmosphere filled with appreciation and gratitude.
The council organised field visits and morning receptions at several schools, with the participation of parents and a group of students who expressed their appreciation for the teachers by presenting flowers and thank-you cards in appreciation of their great efforts in spreading knowledge and instiling educational values in the hearts of their children.
The initiative included honouring 236 teachers from various schools in the city, in recognition of their influential role in the educational process. Council members and staff, along with students and parents, participated in the honoring and field visits, embodying a spirit of cooperation and appreciation and cementing the teacher's position as a fundamental pillar in building society and its sustainable development.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, Mohammed Saif Al Dhahouri, Vice Chairman of the Council, emphasised that celebrating World Teachers' Day comes in appreciation of the great efforts made by teachers in building generations. He pointed out that teachers are the foundation of every renaissance and a source of inspiration that illuminates students' paths with knowledge and instils in them the values that build nations.
