Wadi Al Helo Council holds its first meeting

Sharjah 24: As part of the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department’s commitment to consolidating the role of councils in strengthening community cohesion, the first meeting of the Wadi Al Helo Council was held after being formed by Emiri Decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The meeting was chaired by Dr Ahmed Saeed Khamis Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Council and was attended by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of Sharjah Districts Affairs Department; Khamis bin Saeed Al Mazrouei, Governor of Wadi Al Helo; and Dr Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Department.

Enhancing community participation

Council members began their work in accordance with the vision outlined by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for the councils as a platform for enhancing community participation and adopting initiatives that serve the residents. With this meeting, the Wadi Al Helo Council has inaugurated a new phase of organised community work, embodying the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to make councils an effective platform for strengthening cooperation, social solidarity, and serving citizens.

Integration with Sharjah institutions

During the meeting, Yousef Khamis Al Mazrouei was unanimously appointed Vice Chairman, in an atmosphere that reflected a spirit of cooperation and harmony among the members. Everyone pledged to exert maximum efforts to improve the region's services and achieve integration with the Emirate's institutions.

The council also discussed the areas of work for the next phase, which include enhancing direct communication with residents, coordinating with government entities to develop services, and adopting cultural and social initiatives that promote positive participation by the region's residents.

The council includes Ahmed Salem Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Rashid Saeed Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Saeed Mohammed Saif Al Mazrouei, Sultan Saif Khamis Al Mazrouei, and Maryam Mohammed Saeed Al Mazrouei.
