Sharjah24: The Department of Public Works in Sharjah organised a specialised workshop for the children of Al Rahmaniyah Nursery under the title “The Architect of the Future”, with the aim of educating children about the importance of engineering and how to build a dream house, out of interest in children, and in support of the Sharjah Child-Friendly City project. The workshop included a set of interactive activities in which children participated.
Asmaa Al-Raisi, one of the workshop organisers from the Department of Public Works, stressed the importance of educating children and involving them in the experience of building a dream home. She said: About 20 boys and girls from Al Rahmaniyah Nursery participated in the educational workshops.
Al-Raisi pointed out that the department shows great interest in children and is keen to raise their awareness and satisfy their curiosity about scientific topics, noting that these workshops have been launched since 2015 and are developed every year to adapt to the requirements of modern life. Attractive methods include entertainment and education.
