New Systems, Energy Efficiency Focused

Technical teams from the Directorate's Building Maintenance Department carried out a range of works to ensure pool safety and operational efficiency. This included cleaning the pools, testing water quality, and verifying the effectiveness of disinfection systems to ensure user safety.

Infrastructure Upgrades Done

According to a technical report from the department, the maintenance included replacing outdated water pumps with more efficient systems, installing energy-saving LED lighting, and equipping new "Chiller" units for temperature regulation. Parts of the pool insulation systems were also upgraded to enhance safety and usability.

Vital Services Maintained

The SDPW highlighted that these efforts are crucial, given the importance of these facilities to the community. The pool renovations are part of a larger plan to ensure infrastructure readiness throughout the emirate.

Annual Strategy Ensures Quality

Eng. Hadhif Al Khodr, Director of the Building Maintenance Department, noted that the maintenance work is part of an annual plan to maintain the efficiency of vital facilities in the emirate. The objective is to provide excellent services to the public, particularly during the summer when pool usage peaks. He emphasised that all work adhered to top technical specifications and environmental standards to minimise energy consumption and promote sustainability.

Leadership Vision Fulfilled

He added that the project was carried out in response to directives from His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at ensuring a safe and ideal environment for residents to participate in sports and recreation.

Sustainable Future Goals

These initiatives are part of a broader summer program by the Department, encompassing various service sectors. The goal is to provide high-quality services that align with the emirate’s aspirations and contribute to its vision of being a sustainable and eco-friendly city.
