Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the construction works in the Al Ghail Women’s Park in Kalba.
Engineer Bashayer Al Mansouri, Director of Kalba Branch in SDPW, indicated that the gardening works and the rubber walkways, come in implementation of the high directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish a garden that serves women and children in the Al Ghail area, which reflects His Highness' vision to establish gardens and parks in the neighbourhoods of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

She said these projects come within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the municipal councils of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah and government departments, and to meet their needs, and in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to discuss common themes. She added that the department, along with the municipality, is keen to proceed with the implementation of important projects in the city of Kalba, which will have a significant impact on economic growth and the promotion of sustainable development.

The park sits on a total area of more than 24,000 square metres with a rubber walkway of 540 metres in length and 3 metres in width, service rooms, and public facilities that best serve the public. The department has taken into account all necessary precautionary measures during the implementation of the project.

The residents of Al Ghail area praised the new project and the great development witnessed by the neighbourhood, appreciating the great efforts made by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah by providing development projects for citizens, and setting future development plans that make Sharjah a city of services and social care.
