Sharjah 24: As part of cooperative efforts, Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) has reduced the registration renewal fees and canceled the annual renewal delay fees for contracting companies, consultants and suppliers in the Emirate by 50 percent.
This comes after the approval of the Sharjah Executive Council, meaning that the annual renewal fee for contractors became 500 dirhams, while the registration renewal fees for consultants and suppliers amounted to 250 dirhams instead of 500 dirhams.
The new fees include six areas within the renewal of company registration in the department, and this step will greatly enhance the ease of doing business in the Emirate. It also increases the competitiveness of companies. Reducing the application of fees will lead to attracting more companies and increase transparency. It also supports the continuous efforts of the Government of Sharjah to create a business environment that encourages the growth and prosperity of the private sector, especially medium enterprises.
