These maintenance works included several buildings of Sharjah Sports Club in Samnan and Al Hazana, Al Hamriyah Club, Sharjah Classic Cars Club, Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, as well as the sports clubs of Al Madam, Mleiha, and Dibba Al Hisn, among others.
The preventive maintenance works also involved the inspection and upgrading of air-conditioning systems in major sports facilities, in addition to rehabilitation of government buildings in terms of infrastructure, ensuring the efficiency of electrical and electronic systems, as well as maintenance of washrooms, and replacement of damaged parts in floors and ceilings, all in line with the highest safety and quality standards.
Eng. Hadef Al Khidr, Director of Building Maintenance at the SDPW, stressed the department’s keenness to complete the works according to a well-planned schedule ahead of the sports season. He added: “We attach great importance to the quality of air-conditioning systems in sports facilities to ensure the comfort of both players and spectators. We are equally keen to enhance the efficiency of government buildings and improve their service infrastructure to support institutional performance in an ideal working environment.”
Al Khidr noted that the maintenance teams carried out the works in coordination with the concerned authorities and using the latest technologies and approved materials, pointing out that the SDPW will continue its efforts to maintain and develop public facilities in line with the highest technical specifications.
