Sharjah 24: The General Department of Criminal Security and Ports at Sharjah Police successfully recovered a lost bag containing the entire savings of an Arab resident, accumulated over five years of employment and residence in the UAE. The resident had accidentally left the bag inside a taxi while en route to the airport to travel back to his home country.

Upon receiving the report, security teams launched an immediate investigation. By utilising advanced CCTV footage and smart surveillance systems, officers tracked the taxi’s precise route and located the vehicle, safely recovering the bag within a short timeframe.

Advanced surveillance and rapid response reinforce community trust

Deeply moved by the swift recovery, the owner expressed his profound gratitude to the Sharjah Police. He emphasised that the bag represented far more than material belongings and money; it symbolised years of dedicated hard work and his family’s core aspirations for their future.

Sharjah Police authorities stated that the successful operation highlights the vital role of modern technology and surveillance infrastructure in bolstering security efforts. They added that the rapid recovery of lost property serves to reinforce public safety, enhance crime prevention, and deepen community trust in local law enforcement.
