A culture of prevention
Brigadier Faisal bin Nassar, Director General of the General Department of Community Protection and Prevention, said the campaign reinforces a culture of prevention and encourages responsible security behaviour. He urged residents to follow Sharjah Police's official social media accounts to keep up with the awareness messages and preventive guidance the campaign publishes, saying the initiative supports property protection, strengthens community security, and helps people enjoy a safe, worry-free holiday.
Home security before travel
The campaign's messaging encourages residents to secure their homes before travelling: locking doors and windows properly, using surveillance and alarm systems, and letting a trusted relative or neighbour know their travel dates when needed. The campaign also advises against posting trip details on social media and emphasises the importance of turning off electricity and gas supplies before leaving.
Sharjah Police is also maintaining round-the-clock patrols across residential neighbourhoods, a step intended to reassure residents and support long-term security and stability.
