Innovation lab supports future security solutions
The lab was attended by Brigadier Dr Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, alongside various specialists and strategic partners.
Brigadier Dr Al Suwaidi emphasised Sharjah Police’s commitment to institutionalising innovation, noting that the lab serves as an institutional platform for transforming high-quality ideas into practical projects. The initiative contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, improving response times and ensuring that the force keeps pace with rapid security and technological developments.
Workshop brings together police departments and strategic partners
The workshop brought together representatives from eight departments within the Sharjah Police General Command, along with 11 strategic partners. The sessions focused on four key areas: developing security systems for vital and police facilities, enhancing response capabilities to illegal gatherings, improving VIP protection, and developing the logistical support system for field operations.
The collaborative efforts resulted in 24 innovative ideas aimed at supporting and advancing the security work system.
Technology and AI drive innovative security approaches
During the sessions, participants reviewed global best practices and explored innovative solutions based on modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
The outcomes of the lab are expected to strengthen preventive and proactive security measures, enhance operational readiness, accelerate response times and improve resource utilisation efficiency, contributing to a more flexible and sustainable security system that supports community quality of life.
