During the event, free screenings for breast cancer and blood sugar levels were conducted under the supervision of a specialised medical team from the Public Health Centre, who provided participants with health guidance and advice on prevention methods, proper nutrition, and the importance of regular medical follow-ups.
The initiative also featured a variety of purposeful women’s activities combined enjoyment and benefit, including light discussion sessions on women’s mental and physical health, as well as interactive gatherings promoting solidarity and cooperation among women in the community. These activities helped create a supportive and positive environment.
The Dibba Al Hisn City Council affirmed that this initiative is part of a series of community programmes implemented in cooperation with various government and service entities, aimed at enhancing community partnerships and reinforcing awareness in areas that directly affect citizens and residents, particularly health and social wellbeing.
The Council added that dedicating this initiative to women reflects its ontinued commitment to empowering women and engaging them in programmes that support their health and wellbeing, while also contributing family stability and social cohesion in the city.
The event received enthusiastic engagement from attendees, who expressed their happiness with the initiative, appreciating the opportunity to undergo free medical tests and gain valuable health information in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
