The initiative was attended by Mohammed Hassan Al Hammoudi, Deputy Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn City Council, along with several council members and officials. The event saw notable engagement from residents and community figures of the city.

The “Yalstna” initiative aligns with the vision of the Districts Affairs Department to strengthen social cohesion. The session addressed the issue of combating narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs, highlighting the pivotal role of families in supervision and early prevention. It also reviewed the efforts of Sharjah Police to track and apprehend drug traffickers and dealers, while protecting young people from this destructive scourge.

Participants emphasised the importance of integrating the roles of security institutions and community platforms to ensure a drug-free environment and promote legal and health awareness that safeguards future generations.

In a distinctive gesture reflecting the council’s appreciation of community partnership, the event also recognised citizens who have made outstanding contributions and maintained constructive engagement with the council over the past period in support of the city and its residents.

The honours were awarded to prominent community figures Obaid Ali Rashood Al Hammoudi, Mohammed Abdulrahman Saleh Al Tunaiji, and Sulaiman Mohammed bin Juma Al Yahyai. Certificates were presented by Mohammed Hassan Al Dhahouri, who praised their positive role, civic responsibility, and ongoing cooperation in conveying ideas and proposals. He affirmed that city councils can succeed only through the active participation and engagement of their communities.
