Sharjah24: The second youth session, titled 'Family', was held by the Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, affiliated with the Districts Affairs Department, in collaboration with Dibba Al Hisn Comprehensive Police Station, the Eastern Youth Council and Dibba Al Hisn Council.

The session brought together a distinguished group of parents, young people, individuals interested in family and educational affairs, and members of the community, in conjunction with the Year of the Family.

The discussion focused on two main themes: the role of the family in empowering children and developing future skills, and entrepreneurial and future-oriented skills from the perspective of young people.

The session aimed to foster constructive dialogue by highlighting the vital role parents play in shaping their children's personalities and reinforcing positive values. It also examined the key future skills young people need to anticipate the challenges and opportunities that families may encounter amid the rapid changes taking place across society.

The session was moderated by Ahmed Abdullah Mohammed Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Eastern Youth Council. Panellists included Nawal Ibrahim Al Sakkar, Chair of the Educational Committee at the Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, Ali Hassan Jamal Al Balushi, a trainer and lecturer in human development, and Abdullah Mohammed Shahdad Al Balushi, a member of the Eastern Youth Council.

The event featured an engaging and productive discussion and attracted 67 participants, including employees, community members and young people, reflecting growing public awareness of the importance of meaningful dialogue between parents and youth.

At the conclusion of the programme, the organisers expressed their appreciation to the speakers and honoured partners and collaborators for their valuable contributions. The recognition reaffirmed the commitment to continuing joint initiatives that strengthen the role of the family and empower young people, in line with the Emirate of Sharjah's vision of building a cohesive and sustainable society.
