Sharjah 24: "Sharjah Children", a programme by Rubu' Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators, concluded its summer activities across several centres in Sharjah, reaching more than 2,400 children aged 6 to 12. The initiative aimed to enrich their summer break by promoting skill-building and knowledge acquisition.

A diverse array of educational and creative programmes

The summer schedule featured a variety of educational, recreational, and creative workshops tailored to children’s interests. These sessions also introduced participants to Emirati heritage and cultural traditions, reinforcing their sense of national identity.

Over 65 workshops in key skills

Among the flagship initiatives was “Your Summer With Us”, which offered more than 65 workshops spanning theatre, literature, arts, science, sports, and life skills. Children explored acting, creative writing, clay modelling, crafts, robotics, and digital innovation, nurturing both imagination and technical ability.

Cultural and practical learning

Workshops such as "Fuwala" taught the values of Emirati hospitality and table etiquette, while sessions like "My Wooden Toy" and "I Am an Innovator" encouraged problem-solving and creativity. Sports like swimming and taekwondo promoted teamwork and physical fitness.

Specialised camps for deeper engagement

Specialised programmes such as the "Fantasy and Creativity Camp", focused on theatre and performance arts, and the "Interactive Maths Camp", which turned math into fun challenges, added significant educational value and engagement.

Empowering future leaders through integrated learning

Through these carefully designed activities, "Sharjah Children" successfully met its goal of integrating education with entertainment, instilling cultural values, and empowering a generation capable of shaping the future of their community.
