Sharjah 24: Members of the "To the Summits" programme have arrived in Russia, marking the beginning of the next phase of their training journey aimed at taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe.

15 members

Fifteen members are participating in this adventure. They have completed comprehensive training programmes, including mountaineering in Kyrgyzstan and indoor climbing training at Ski Dubai, in preparation for this unique experience.

Filled with enthusiasm and determination, members are scheduled to embark Thursday on their journey to the summit of Elbrus.

Challenging oneself

Members emphasised that this experience reflects their desire to challenge themselves and embark on adventures that enrich their careers. They noted that "the To the Summits” programme has given them an exceptional opportunity to refine their personalities, enhance their self-confidence, and their ability to work as a team, making them more prepared to serve their community and nation.

They also expressed their pride in representing the UAE on this exceptional journey, considering it an opportunity to discover their true potential and develop their mental and physical skills, as well as a moment to raise the UAE flag high above one of the world's highest peaks.

Enabled to lead

The to the Summits programme is one of the pioneering initiatives launched by the Sharjah Capability Development. It aims to prepare a young generation with a spirit of adventure and leadership, capable of facing challenges and transforming them into opportunities for growth and development, embodying the UAE's vision of empowering its youth and enabling them to lead in various fields.
