Sharjah24: Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, organised its first art exhibition of the year, titled Fingers Tell Stories, at Zero 6 Mall in Sharjah from 7 to 9 July. The exhibition offered an engaging artistic experience that highlighted the diversity of children's talents and visual expression, while giving visitors the opportunity to explore their work in an interactive setting.

The exhibition featured more than 30 artworks, including both individual and collaborative pieces created through the foundation's art workshops under the guidance of leading local artists. The collection included paintings, sculptures, wooden models and handicrafts, alongside works incorporating a range of artistic techniques and approaches, such as artificial intelligence, mixed media, recycling and Arabic calligraphy. Other pieces drew inspiration from the world of the oceans, reflecting the wide variety of creative experiences children explored during the workshops.

The artworks demonstrated the children's ability to use their imagination and knowledge to produce original creations inspired by nature, the environment and fantasy. They also highlighted their aesthetic awareness and growing skills in composition and visual expression, presenting innovative and diverse artistic perspectives that reflect both their talent and creative development.

Noura Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Sharjah Children, said the Fingers Tell Stories exhibition represents a distinctive initiative that enables children to express their creative talents and showcase their artistic achievements to the wider community. She noted that such experiences help refine their skills, strengthen their self-confidence and encourage them to continue developing their creativity.

She added that the exhibition provides an important platform to showcase the work of Sharjah Children members and highlight their artistic talents and achievements, reflecting the skills and experience they have gained through the organisation's specialised programmes and workshops.

Al Shamsi also stressed that displaying children's artwork in public spaces gives them a strong sense of pride and accomplishment while increasing their presence within the cultural and artistic landscape. She reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to providing creative environments that encourage learning, experimentation and the public display of children's work, helping to nurture a generation capable of expressing ideas and perspectives through innovative artistic practices.

The exhibition attracted enthusiastic engagement from visitors to the shopping centre, who praised the high standard of the artworks, the children's talent and creativity, and the diversity of ideas and artistic styles on display.

The Fingers Tell Stories exhibition reflects Sharjah Children's ongoing commitment to supporting young creative talent, promoting artistic culture and providing platforms that enable children to express their ideas and abilities, contributing to the development of a new generation of creative individuals ready to enrich the cultural and artistic landscape.
