SDPW celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) organised an event in honour of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, focusing on raising awareness about the importance of a healthy and safe work environment.

The event included a specialised training workshop on first aid, as well as medical check-ups for employees in collaboration with Al Qassimi Hospital. These activities aim to emphasise the significance of health and safety in the workplace and ensure the well-being of employees.

Mariam Al Mazmi, Director of the Corporate Communications Center, expressed the department's commitment to providing a safe working environment, highlighting that occupational safety is a core component of their operational strategy. She noted that the event aims to enhance awareness and equip employees with the necessary knowledge to maintain their safety.

In this context, the Branch Management in Dibba Al Hisn organised an awareness workshop targeting contracting companies and consulting offices, aimed at reinforcing compliance with occupational safety requirements and ensuring a safe working environment for the protection of workers' lives and safety.
