One of the largest university sports projects in the Emirate, the complex combines advanced infrastructure with diverse facilities serving students, academic staff and community events.

The project was implemented following a thorough study while maintaining the quality of its core components, and now stands as a modern sports facility reflecting Sharjah’s vision of supporting physical activities and enhancing campus life.

The ground floor covers approximately 6,380 square metres and features a range of multi-purpose facilities, most notably an Olympic swimming pool equipped with official swimming lanes and spectator stands, in addition to changing rooms, toilets, washbasins and service storage areas, all strategically distributed to ensure smooth movement and operational efficiency.

The complex also includes a multi-purpose sports hall equipped to host team sports and internal tournaments, with seating for 200 spectators, making it an ideal venue for university sporting events.

The project also features a fitness hall equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, administrative offices, a coach’s office and a sauna steam room, as well as a spacious main entrance facilitating access for visitors and students. Corridors and access points have been carefully distributed to ensure the highest levels of safety and operational efficiency.

The completion of the project further strengthens Al Qasimia University’s infrastructure and provides an integrated sports environment supporting academic programmes and student activities. It also reflects the department’s commitment to developing modern facilities that meet the needs of the university community and keep pace with the Emirate’s urban development.
