Sharjah 24: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote engineering awareness among young people, the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) held an interactive workshop for children under the "Future Engineer" initiative, organised by the Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club.

The workshop targeted participants in the club's summer programme and saw enthusiastic engagement from attendees through a range of enjoyable hands-on and interactive activities covering various engineering disciplines, including civil, architectural, electrical and industrial engineering. The programme gave students the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of engineering through practical experiments and educational stations specially designed to stimulate creative thinking and enhance technical skills.

The initiative aims to help build a promising generation that is confident in its abilities and potential and understands the importance of engineering in advancing society and achieving development goals. It also forms part of the department's strategy to support community and educational initiatives that foster a culture of innovation and excellence among students, while bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in a stimulating and safe environment.

Participants expressed their delight with the inspiring experience, highlighting its positive impact in broadening their career horizons and strengthening their future aspirations in the various fields of engineering.
