SCC, SPEA discuss enhancing school life and educational outcomes

Sharjah 24: The Education, Culture, Media, and Youth Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council visited the Sharjah Private Education Authority yesterday at its new location in Al Rahmaniya, Sharjah.

This visit was part of the committee's plans for this session, aimed at understanding how the authority is working to improve school life and education in the emirate.

 

Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, the Chairperson of the Committee, led the delegation, which included committee members Dr. Ahmed Saleh Al Naqbi, Kaltham Saif Al Tunaiji, Moza bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, and Youssef Mohammed Al Mazrouei, along with Huda Al Hammadi, the Committee Secretary, and Dr. Islam Al Shiwi, a Media Expert.

 

They met with Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, who is the Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and Ali Ahmed Al Hosani, the Director General, along with other important staff members.

 

During the meeting, the Authority explained its role in managing private education in Sharjah, overseeing private schools, and evaluating their performance. They also talked about their partnerships and initiatives designed to improve the quality of education. The Authority shared its vision of providing excellent education and encouraging a culture of lifelong learning.

 

The discussion covered several important topics, such as how to improve education quality in private schools, support for teachers, the emirate’s education goals, monitoring school fees, and fostering better communication between parents and schools. They also discussed how to use technology in education and talked about the positive results of a program called “Itqan,” which has shown improvements in local schools.

 

The committee emphasized the need to promote national and cultural values in schools, support local teachers in private education, and educate parents on how they can help their children succeed academically.

 

The committee praised various initiatives launched by the Authority, including programs like “Proud to be a Teacher” and “We Rise in Arabic,” which aim to enhance the educational environment in Sharjah.

 

At the end of the visit, the committee expressed its support for the Authority's efforts to achieve its goals and work together to improve private education quality in Sharjah, aligning with the emirate's vision of providing high-quality education that competes on both local and international levels.
