The initiative is the authority's first public engagement of its kind since its inception, and it aims to raise public awareness of marine environmental conservation through a series of workshops and activities aimed at different age groups, as well as introducing visitors to the various species of marine fish found in the region.
In exclusive statements to Sharjah 24, Al Shamsi stated that the platform was created with an engaging educational attitude, combining knowledge and experience. It includes a virtual deep-sea exploration experience, a "Memory Corner" where visitors can leave inspirational messages for marine preservation, and a variety of interactive educational workshops for families, children, and youth, all of which aim to instill sustainable practices in various segments of society.
Al Shamsi welcomed the public to attend and participate in the activities, emphasising that attendees will get incentive prizes to encourage continuing engagement and community participation.
