Sharjah 24: The Health, Labor and Social Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council held, at the Council’s headquarters, its first meeting as part of the third parliamentary session of the eleventh legislative term, highlighting the vital role the committee plays in promoting public health and social welfare in Sharjah.

During a meeting led by Dr Ruqaya Rashid Al Zaabi, who heads the Committee, members discussed their important roles and responsibilities. The Committee plans to look into issues related to these key areas and track the implementation of various programs that aim to improve health services, social support, and work environments, ultimately helping to ensure a stable and sustainable community in the emirate.

In her speech, Dr Al Zaabi highlighted the importance of being prepared for future challenges. She mentioned that the Committee will keep working on a comprehensive plan that was developed in previous sessions. This plan aligns with the goals of the Consultative Council and aims to enhance their ability to support and oversee initiatives that benefit the community.

Dr Al Zaabi also noted that this year, the Committee will focus on improving communication with relevant groups and community members.
