Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the work of the integrated sewage network for the residential complex in Al Saf area in Kalba,
Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Head of the Public Works Department in Sharjah, confirmed that the city of Kalba, with its completed projects, ongoing construction, and other projects in the planning stages, has transformed into a city that offers all services in addition to being a tourist destination, as this project translates the directive of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Suwaidi affirmed that the project was launched in line with the department's development plan to response to the needs of the local population and municipal council.
According to Eng. Hind Al-Hashemi, director of services at the department, Al-Saf area is a promising modern area with a bright future and will be essential to development because of its strategic location. She also highlighted department's desire to fulfil the goals of the wise leadership, who are eager to promote wellbeing and development in all areas.
Al-Hashemi affirmed that the sewage network extends for 8.5 km and serves 515 plots of land. A main line of 1.5 km with a diameter of 400 mm has been extended, connecting the network in the area with the network in the city.
She emphasised that these projects are among the crucial and essential projects that the department continues to implement in all regions based on a strategic plan and timetable which are being applied across all regions in accordance with the best systems.
Al-Hashemi commended the Ruler of Sharjah's ongoing keenness to the department's work to ensure that all citizens and residents of the Emirate of Sharjah have a good life.
