Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) organised two brainstorming sessions over two days. The first included a group of strategic partners, dealers and employees of the Strategic Planning and Quality Center, while the second was included the leadership team in the department represented by His Excellency the head of the department, department managers and heads of departments.
This aims of reviewing proposals and development and creative ideas required in its new strategic plan, and to review and discuss the update of the “Strategic Plan for the Department 2022-2024” in a way that contributes to achieving the ambitions and aspirations of partners and dealers in obtaining integrated and distinguished services, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW).
Engineer Hind Nasser, Director of the Strategic Planning and Quality Center in the department, confirmed that the aim of the first brainstorming session is to exchange views between the department's clients and partners, to identify the requirements necessary to provide the finest services, aiming to support the directions and objectives of the department in its next strategic plan. This enhances customer satisfaction with the services provided, as well as coming up with creative ideas and proposals on best practices, and drawing and designing the services provided through smart channels.
She explained that the workshop comes in line with the Department of Works' keenness to involve all government agencies and partners in the stages of strategic planning and formulating its strategic plan for the period (2022-2024), as they are key elements in the success of the department's upcoming ambitious strategy, noting that the department attaches importance to cooperation and coordination with partners to achieve the required effectiveness in the urban and infrastructure sector, upgrading the work system in government agencies and providing distinguished services.
Hind Nasser stressed the importance of concerted efforts to update and develop the department's strategic plan based on a clear vision aimed at raising performance levels to provide distinguished services that meet current and future needs.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the department called on the attendees to exert more efforts to improve their performance and maintain the advanced level reached by the department in serving the clients and meeting their needs. He also underscored the importance of strengthening communication processes with all strategic partners and activating quality partnerships with all local, regional and global institutions.
