Sharjah 24: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) has begun levelling and backfilling Al-Mawrada 7 of sandy lands in the Al-Suyuh suburb, which spans an area of 1,790,000 square meters for citizens benefiting from government grants to build their homes.
Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW), praised His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's directives to support the development and renaissance process, provide a decent life for his citizens, and consolidate the pillars of the Emirati family's stability, noting that road settlement will contribute to the arrival of construction vehicles and facilitate the citizens' access to their homes.
"This move, which the Sharjah Government has begun to implement, is a reflection of the wise leadership's approach to solving all citizens' concerns as quickly as possible," he added, noting that the department has so far completed 240 pieces of land in the region.
The department is working on the settlement of the Al-Mawrada area 3 in the Al-Suyouh neighbourhood, which covers an area of 1,800,000 square meters and has a total of 809 plots of land, with roughly 286 settled ones.
Comprehensive territorial settlements in the Al-Mawrada 1, Al-Mawrada 2, Al-Mawrada 4, and Al-Mawrada 5 areas have been completed in recent years.
