With the aim of building bright character, strengthening family values and promoting a culture of community participation, The club is continuing the first week's activities through a series of programmes, workshops and events in line with the vision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) to offer high-quality summer programmes with a lasting and meaningful impact.
The programme began with the Family Values Challenge, which featured competitions and joint activities designed to reinforce cooperation and family cohesion.
This was followed by an awareness lecture titled "Safe Use of Social Media", presented by First Assistant Ruqayya Al Khalaqi from the Security Awareness Department at Sharjah Police . The session highlighted the importance of using social media positively, ways to protect against cyber risks and the need to enhance children's digital awareness.
The programme also included two interactive workshops organised in cooperation with the Family Development Centres Department.
The first workshop, titled "Me and My Family", targeted children aged 7 to 12, while the second, "Successful Family Dialogue Skills", was designed for participants aged 13 to 17. Both workshops focused on strengthening positive communication within families, developing dialogue skills and building strong family relationships.
The day's activities concluded with sports programmes, including five-a-side football sessions aimed at improving dribbling and ball control skills, alongside swimming sessions focused on developing leg-kick techniques under the supervision of the sports committee and team coaches.
Mohammed Awad Al Ketbi, Board Member of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Sharjah Sports Summer "A Holiday Reimagined" programme, said the initiative continues to achieve its objectives by offering integrated content that combines awareness, education and sports, helping participants make positive use of their summer holiday.
Al Ketbi said: "We are keen to ensure that every activity delivers educational and awareness messages alongside its recreational and sporting aspects, contributing to the development of well-balanced personalities while strengthening family values and community awareness among participants. We also believe that partnerships with government and community institutions are among the programme's key success factors, enabling us to deliver high-quality content that achieves the desired objectives."
At the end of the second day's activities, Mohammed Awad Al Ketbi honoured representatives of Sharjah Police , represented by the Security Awareness Department, and the Family Development Centres Department in recognition of their fruitful cooperation and contributions to delivering awareness and interactive programmes.
He said the recognition reflects the club's commitment to strengthening institutional partnerships and appreciating the support of organisations that contribute to the success of "A Holiday Reimagined" programme.
