The workshop was presented by Mansour Rashid Al Ketbi, the club's Executive Director and General Supervisor of Summer Activities. The preparations were attended by His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, along with members of the organising committees and the team responsible for implementing the programme.
The workshop, held on Wednesday at the club's headquarters, aimed to enhance the readiness of the work teams and unify the methodology for implementing the events. This was achieved by reviewing the professional foundations for planning and managing summer programmes and activities, and focusing on transforming ideas into high-quality experiences that leave a positive impact on participants, in accordance with best institutional practices.
The workshop covered several key topics, most notably defining the programme's true message, the stages of event development from concept and planning through implementation and evaluation and achieving a sustainable impact. It also emphasised the importance of teamwork, risk management, fostering a culture of quality, and measuring performance indicators to ensure a comprehensive and safe summer experience for participants.
Mansour Rashid Al Ketbi stressed that the success of any programme is not measured by the number of events, but rather by the impact it has on participants. He pointed out that the "A Holiday Reimagined 2026" programme aims to go beyond entertainment and leisure activities, encompassing character development, promoting positive values, cultivating a sense of responsibility and belonging, discovering talents, and developing future leaders. Al Ketbi said, “A successful event doesn’t begin on the day of implementation, but rather from the moment the idea is conceived. Every minute we spend planning saves us a great deal during execution. We don’t just aim to organise summer activities; we strive to create a comprehensive experience that will remain in the memories of children and their parents. This can only be achieved through a cohesive team working with a unified spirit, believing that attention to detail is the key to excellence.”
Al Ketbi added that the workshop also focused on the importance of integration among all working committees, emphasising that the programme’s success is a collective responsibility, starting from reception and registration, through media, organisation, and safety, and ending with evaluating the results and measuring the impact. He noted that the Mleiha Club is committed to establishing a culture of quality, innovation, and institutional excellence in all its programs and community initiatives.
At the conclusion of the workshop, His Excellency Mohammed Sultan Khusouni Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, praised the high level of preparedness and positive spirit he witnessed among the work teams, stressing that the real investment in the success of the programme begins with qualifying the staff and developing their skills, in order to ensure the presentation of an exceptional edition of Sharjah Summer Sports “A Holiday Reimagined 2026” that achieves its educational and community goals, and reflects the distinguished position of Mleiha Club in organising quality programmes.
