Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), represented by the Department of Evidence and Forensic Laboratories, has obtained intellectual work certification for the scientific course of the Diploma in Fingerprint Expertise. This marks the first accredited academic curriculum of its kind in universities, serving as a scientific reference in the field of forensic sciences.

A curriculum developed by national expertise

The course stands out as it has been prepared and authored by national cadres within Sharjah Police. It combines existing databases with applied studies of evolving criminal cases, while also presenting innovative mechanisms for detection under the most challenging circumstances and in the shortest possible time. This enables trainees to rapidly acquire knowledge and apply it in practice, without the need for many years of field experience.

Statement from the Director of the Department of Evidence and Forensic Laboratories

In this context, Brigadier General Amer Amin Al Harmoudi, Director of the Department of Evidence and Forensic Laboratories, stated: “The accreditation of this national academic course reflects the Sharjah Police's commitment to supporting innovation and specialised research in the security and forensic fields. It also demonstrates its dedication to equipping national talents with the knowledge and modern tools that enhance community safety, thereby contributing to the training of experts capable of addressing field challenges with efficiency and professionalism.”
