Sharjah 24: Colonel Rashid Ahmed Al Fardan, Deputy Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, announced the launch of the “Safe Study Environment” initiative for students and faculty members at the University of Sharjah.

The initiative aims to strengthen community partnership and enhance the service experience, offering discounts of up to 50%.

Initiative launched by Sharjah Police

The Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, launched the “Safe Study Environment” initiative for students and faculty members at the University of Sharjah, as part of its efforts to enhance community engagement and improve service experience.

The launch ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, and Professor Dr Issam Al-Din Ibrahim Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah.

Services offered and strategic partners

Colonel Rashid Ahmed Al Fardan, Deputy Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, explained in remarks to “Sharjah 24” that the initiative provides a range of the most in-demand services in vehicle and driver licensing. This is in collaboration with strategic partners, including ENOC Registration, Sharjah Driving Institute, Belhasa Driving Institute, and Al Jaber Opticals.

Target audience and discounts

Al Fardan added that the initiative targets approximately 20,000 students, in addition to faculty and administrative staff, who will receive discounts of up to 50% on these services.

He emphasised that the initiative aims to simplify the process of accessing services, reducing time, effort, and costs for students by bringing the services directly to the university campus, instead of requiring them to travel to service centres.

A message to students

Al Fardan concluded by expressing his hopes that the initiative will serve as a motivation for students, wishing them a successful and productive academic year.
