SP chief inspects Punishment and Correctional Institution

Sharjah 24: Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police (SP), conducted an inspection of the Punishment and Correctional Institution under the General Department of Community Protection and Prevention. The visit was part of the annual inspection system, aimed at evaluating performance, identifying key challenges, and reviewing institutional achievements.

Senior officials accompany the inspection

Accompanying the inspection were Brigadier General Dr. Ali Ahmed Bu Alzoud, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Community Protection and Prevention; Colonel Abdullah Alai Al Naqbi, Director of the Punishment and Correctional Institution; along with department heads, deputies, and specialist officers from Sharjah Police.

Focus on operational readiness

Major General Bin Amer inspected the police personnel parade and assessed the readiness of vehicles and equipment allocated for inmate transport, with the goal of enhancing institutional efficiency. A detailed briefing was provided on operational readiness, overall performance, strategies, and practices implemented to strengthen institutional security and improve services for inmates.

Balancing security and inmate welfare

The SP Chief commended the dedication of the institution's staff in maintaining a balance between security needs and the well-being of inmates. He emphasised that these efforts reflect Sharjah Police’s commitment to providing comprehensive services that enhance the quality of life for inmates while promoting societal stability.
