SP launches Officers' Forum to honour retired commanders

Sharjah24: Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, officially opened the inaugural Officers' Forum at the Police Desert Park, themed " We ةeet with love."

 The event recognised former officers and celebrated their contributions, featuring notable attendees such as retired Major General Humaid Mohammed Al Hudaidi, the former commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police; Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, the commander-in-chief of Ajman Police; and Major General Jassim Mohammed Al Khayyal, the commander-in-chief of the Amiri Guard, along with other esteemed leaders and senior officers.

Reflecting on the UAE's journey

In his opening remarks, Major General Abdullah Bin Amer emphasised the UAE’s journey as an inspiring narrative of success, originating in the desert sands and transforming into a global exemplar of leadership and advancement.  He highlighted the essential lessons imparted by the founding fathers and continued by the nation's visionary leaders, which have shaped the UAE’s future and reinforced its position as a symbol of development and innovation.

He commended the strong tradition of generosity in the UAE, which supports the nation’s overall development path, especially in terms of security and safety. The commander-in-chief conveyed his pride in the retired officers, recognising their essential contributions to the institutional excellence of the Sharjah Police and the legacy they have established for future generations.

A token of gratitude

The forum featured sincere acknowledgements, as Major General Abdullah bin Amer conveyed his appreciation to the officers and staff of Sharjah Police for their outstanding commitment throughout the years. He inspired the new generation to maintain their dedication and pursue greater excellence to enhance the institution’s reputation.

Retired Major General Humaid Mohammed Al Hudaidi delivered a speech expressing gratitude to Sharjah Police for this significant initiative and praising their ongoing efforts to promote cooperation and share expertise across generations. He praised Sharjah Police for their impressive progress.

 A fusion of tradition and festivity

A documentary about the Police Desert Park's journey and mission to bring joy to families and children was part of the event. The program featured traditional songs and games performed by children in partnership with the Sharjah Heritage Institute.

 Commemorating the legacy

The forum came to a close, with Major General Abdullah Bin Amer honouring the retired officers and acknowledging their lasting contributions and essential roles in serving the nation.  He remarked that their commitment continues to be a source of pride and inspiration for the ongoing progress of Sharjah Police.
