Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works organized Tuesday morning, a training event entitled “Engineer of the Future” in its main building in Al Nasserya, which aimed to train students on engineering matters.
The event was attended by approximately 30 students spanning various age groups.

Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Corporate Communications Center, has affirmed that the initiative is focused on enhancing students' competencies in civil engineering and facilitating their comprehension of mathematical principles through exposure to engineering practices. The initiative also involves showcasing videos demonstrating construction techniques and urban project development.

Engineer Houria Al Hajri, presenter of the “Engineer of the Future” workshop, explained that the children’s response during the event was excellent, as a number of students showed innovative and creative ideas in the field of design and engineering precision. At the end of the course, all participating children received a certificate of participation, and games that simulate reality from engineers’ clothing, a helmet, a protective vest, and field tools.

During the session, she mentioned that the participants received comprehensive information regarding the department's responsibilities and its commitment to public service. Furthermore, a workshop combining theory and practice was conducted to instruct attendees on the creation and interpretation of engineering drawings and plans.
