Sharjah 24: As part of its interaction with the "Read, You Are in Sharjah" campaign, which aims to promote reading culture, Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) launched a new initiative inviting its employees to exchange used books.
The initiative comes as part of the SDPW commitment to supporting cultural and educational activities and enhancing the spirit of cooperation among employees.

A special platform has been created to facilitate exchanging books between employees, where each employee can register the books they wish to exchange and search for other books they would like to read. The platform aims to create an interactive environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and facilitates access to a variety of books in various fields.

Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Corporate Communication Centre at SDPW, praised the initiative, confirming that the Department believes in the importance of reading as a means of developing skills and enhancing knowledge. She added that trough the initiative, SDPW aims to encourage employees to exchange books and benefit from the wealth of knowledge they possess.

This step comes in line with Sharjah's vision as a cultural and civilized hub, and enhances efforts aimed at spreading the culture of reading in society.

The initiative also reflects the spirit of cooperation and positive interaction among SDPW employees, and contributes to creating a work environment that enhances innovation and creativity.

SDPW invites all its employees to actively participate in this initiative, and take advantage of the opportunity to exchange books and knowledge, which contributes to enriching their cultural and professional experience.
