Wasit Police Station receives GDRFA delegation

Sharjah 24: Colonel Ahmed Saleh Al Suwaidi, Head of Wasit Comprehensive Police Station, welcomed a delegation from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Sharjah to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, led by Colonel Hamid Obaid Al Tunaiji, Deputy Director of the Land Ports Department.
The visit aimed to improve cooperation between the two parties while also observing best practices and standards adopted at the Wasit Comprehensive Police Station, particularly in terms of providing a welcoming environment for people with disabilities.

Colonel Ahmed Al Suwaidi opened the meeting by welcoming the visiting delegation and emphasising Sharjah Police's approach and commitment to strengthening cooperation frameworks with various entities and institutions across the country in order to share experiences and best practices that improve the quality of life for all individuals.

The delegation received a briefing on the station's workflow and the services available to all community members, particularly those with disabilities, during the visit to ensure they have straightforward access to all service delivery channels at the facility.

The visitors also learned about work-building procedures that adhere to the most recent international standards, as well as the company's experience acquiring World Disability Union certification for ecologically certified areas for individuals with disabilities.

Colonel Hamid Al Tunaiji thanked Sharjah Police for their warm reception and praised their efforts to implement the best worldwide standards for the full integration of individuals with disabilities into society.
