Sharjah 24: "Travel with Peace of Mind," a summer initiative from Sharjah Police (SP), aims to increase community awareness about locking homes before travel and taking all necessary precautions to protect property and valuables. The initiative will run until the end of August.
Brigadier General Omar Ahmed Abu Al-Zoud, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, highlighted the General Command's commitment to spreading awareness messages on a constant basis in order to achieve complete community security and raise public security awareness. He emphasised that raising knowledge is one of the most important preventive measures for lowering harmful behaviours and criminality.
He noted that the summer initiative "Travel with Peace of Mind," which debuted in 2022, is consistent with the new General Command plan for 2024-2027, which aims to protect homes and undertake preventive steps that homeowners should take before traveling to avoid possible dangers.
The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department emphasised the need to follow home security standards before departing, such as employing surveillance cameras and other forms of alarm systems.
