Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police General Command launched its summer training programme in swimming, held at the Sharjah Police Club, for the children of its members, with the participation of 80 children.
This programme comes within the agenda of the Sports and Cultural Activities Section of the Department of Media and Public Relations, which aims to enhance children’s physical fitness, and develop their swimming skills, in addition to exploiting the summer vacation in constructive, purposeful programmes. The programme continues until the end of next August.
Lieutenant Colonel Hamad bin Dukhain Al Matroushi, Director of the Officers Club Branch at Sharjah Police, explained that the annual summer swimming programme comes within the framework of Sharjah Police’s efforts to promote sports and health activities among police members and their families.
This reflects the vision of the Sharjah Police in building an integrated generation that enjoys physical and psychological health, achieves a spirit of cooperation among children, and enhances the quality of healthy and community life.
