Sharjah Sports Council is running "Sharjah Charity Duathlon" in the University City on April 8, cooperating with the House of Wisdom and Endurance Sports Services.
300 participants will be part of the event.
Duathlon is a compound race that includes running and cycling (running, cycling, running).
The Sharjah Duathlon includes two running race, in 4 categories, starting at 9:40 pm, as follows:
1. Long Distances (10 km run, 40 km cycle, 5 km run)
2. Super Sprint (2.5 km run, 10 km cycle, and 2.5 km run)
3. Sprint (5 km run, 20 km cycle, 2.5 km run)
4. Junior (1.5 km run, 10 km cycle, 1.5 km run)
Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council, stated that young people enjoy duathlon for it enhances physical capabilities and develops running and cycling abilities.
