Sharjah24: Sharjah Sports Council has launched a training programme for standout players in team sports from Sharjah clubs, in preparation for their participation in an overseas training camp. The initiative is part of the Council’s plans to enhance player performance, under the supervision of sports experts from the Sports Affairs and Development Department, and to nurture talent for national teams while benefiting their home clubs technically.
Training sessions for handball, basketball, and volleyball players began at Al Bataeh and Al Hamriyah club halls from 29 July to 4 August. The Council is overseeing the sessions until the departure for the external camp, where a final selection of players will proceed to the second stage of the programme, which includes training sessions and friendly matches abroad.
