The award was received by Khalid Issa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, in the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Dr Abdullah Abdulrahman bin Sultan, Head of the Programme, and other board members.
Sharjah Sports Club also secured two individual awards: Mohammed Ali Al Qasir, the club’s director general, won the “Best Executive Director in Sports Clubs” award, while Engineer Haitham Atef Maghari, director of construction and building maintenance, received the “Best Support Services Employee” award.
Khalid Al Midfa expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Board of Directors to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem for his continuous support of the Emirate’s sports sector. He praised the Deputy Ruler’s patronage and interest in such events, stating it is a reflection of his well-known dedication to sports. Al Midfa described the club’s recognition as a proud moment, aligning with its vision to be a leading institution achieving outstanding results.
Al Midfa extended his thanks to the Sharjah Sports Council, led by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, for their support and initiatives aimed at advancing and modernising sports clubs in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He reaffirmed the importance of transforming clubs into safe spaces and attractive environments for youth.
He noted that winning the award was the result of the dedicated efforts of the high-level supervisory committee, composed of all board members, who believed in the programme's importance and its positive impact on club staff. Al Midfa thanked Dr Tareq Jassim Al Midfa and all the teams for committing to the required standards and excelling in their execution.
Dr Tareq Jassim Al Midfa, a board member and head of strategy and leadership at the club, chaired the committee overseeing the club’s participation in the programme and congratulated the board and work teams for their efforts.
He highlighted that winning the award now presents a challenge to sustain and enhance performance, innovate further, and position the club globally. He emphasised the broader role of clubs as institutions that instill ethical values and the spirit of fair competition.
Dr Al Midfa also congratulated the individual award winners, stressing that Sharjah Sports Club possesses outstanding talent across its departments. The club’s win in two employee categories demonstrates diversity and excellence within the organisation. He wished everyone continued success in future editions of the programme.
