Sharjah 24: The Breastfeeding Friends, affiliated to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, concluded the activities of the National Breastfeeding Week 2022, which was held from 1 to 7 November, with the participation of many health and medical authorities in the emirates of the country.
On the National Breastfeeding Week, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Honorary President of the Breastfeeding Friends, gave a word of thanks, through a recorded video, to breastfeeding mothers for their keenness to preserve the health of their children.
The events included the organisation of many educational lectures and awareness initiatives on the benefits of breastfeeding for the health of mothers and children, presented by a group of health specialists and consultants, as well as virtual lectures on father support for nursing mothers, and a seminar on natural milk and others.
Members of the Breastfeeding Friends also attended the National Breastfeeding Conference, which was organised by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, during which Breastfeeding Friends was honoured for its societal contribution to promoting the importance of breastfeeding among mothers
