Sharjah24: Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Honorary President of the The Breastfeeding Friends Association of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, affirmed that Sharjah places health awareness at the forefront of its concerns to achieve sustainable health for members of society, based on the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the directives of Her Highness’s wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi.
This came during the virtual annual ceremony organised by the association, on the 22nd anniversary of its founding, under the patronage of Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi.
Sheikha Bodour pointed out that the Breastfeeding Friends Society has played, over the past years, an important role at the state and emirate levels in promoting health awareness of one of the most important contemporary health issues, which is breastfeeding.
Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi expressed her happiness with the great interaction with the efforts of the association, which contributed to winning the Arab Award for Social Responsibility in its 15th session, in the category of partnerships and cooperation, and thanked the association’s board of directors and all female employees and volunteers for their efforts during the past period.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of the 16th batch of the Breastfeeding Guides Programme, and the honouring of the sponsors, supporters and volunteers who participated in the success of the association's activities and activities and supported it in achieving its goals.
