Sharjah24: The Breastfeeding Friends Association of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah won first place in the partnerships and cooperation category of the Arabia CSR Awards at its 15th session in 2022, in appreciation of its outstanding project and initiatives.
The association is keen to consolidate breastfeeding among mothers and provide them with all forms of support to achieve Sharjah's vision of being a healthy and child-friendly city.
Eng. Khawla Al Noman, President of the association, affirmed the association's goal is to raise awareness among members of society of the importance and benefits of breastfeeding.
it dedicated the victory to the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, and Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Honorary President of the association, and to everyone who contributed to the win.
Al Noman stressed the association's commitment to providing innovative initiatives and programmes to emphasise the importance of breastfeeding, and promoting the culture of mothers with its many benefits to maintain the physical and psychological health of mothers and children.
