Sharjah24: Sharjah Children, part of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, has launched its new programme “Hil wa Terhal(Settling and Travelling)”, designed for children aged 6 to 12 to explore the depth of authentic Saudi culture and heritage.
Eman Ali Turki, Director of Child Care at Sharjah Children, explained that the programme aims to instil a deeper cultural understanding in young participants by introducing them to key elements of Saudi culture, including literature, arts, and traditional knowledge.
Activities include hands-on workshops on colourful Asiri art, traditional Sadu weaving reflecting Bedouin heritage, and engaging reading sessions highlighting Saudi Arabia’s unique historical and cultural landmarks.
The initiative aligns with the foundation’s vision to nurture a generation of innovative leaders who are aware of their heritage while open to the cultures of the region, fostering intergenerational dialogue and understanding.
