Sharjah24: Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) holds an opening ceremony of the Kalba Beach Games, in its second edition, on Friday evening, November 11. Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council in organising such event, describing the tournament as an important event on the map of sporting events.
In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his support for the sports movement in the emirate, and the city of Kalba in particular, extending thanks to Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
He stressed that the Kalba Beach Games has become one of the important events on the map of sporting events in the country, highlighting to the importance of such events in boosting economy and tourism.
Concluding his statement, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi praised the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council in organising the tournament, which includes about 1,000 players in 7 different sports, competing within 7 days, calling on the public to come and enjoy the sport event’s various activities.
