Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) is organising the fourth edition of Wadi Al Helo Trail Run on Sunday, November 3rd, in Kalba City. This event is part of its annual programme of community sports events that promote sports as a way of life, especially after the previous editions' great success.
250 male and female competitors are expected to participate in the fourth edition, for which registration has begun electronically via the link https://www.hopasports.com/en/event/wadi-al-helo-trail-run-4th-edition/register/individual.
The event includes three different distances, the first of which is 10 km, and its race starts at 6:35 am, followed five minutes later by the 5 km race, and five minutes later by the 1.5 km race, at the end of which the winners will be crowned.
Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department at the SSC, stressed: “Wadi Al Helo Trail Run is one of the distinguished events in mountain running and it attracts the attention of a large segment of youth, amateurs and running enthusiasts. The SSC is keen to organise it annually after it witnessed a great turnout in its previous editions. Al Doukhi called on amateurs, running enthusiasts, athletes, residents of Kalba, Wadi Al Helo area and clubs in the Emirate to participate in the event.”
