Hamad bin Samnoh and Butti Al Suwaidi achieved a commendable 2nd place, while Said Al Marashda and Khaled Al Kindi secured a well-deserved third place in the tournament.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Saqr bin Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of Sports and Community Events Department, and Khalid Mohammed Ahmed, Head of the Events Planning and Implementation Division at SSC.
His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani expressed his admiration for the achievements of the second edition of the championship, adding that the impact of this tournament in building upon the success of the inaugural edition, in line with the Council's objectives to host such events that attract a wide range of players, amateurs, and fans of this sport. He emphasises that the game’s goal is to consistently raise awareness of throughout the emirate.
He pointed out that the tournament saw a tremendous level of excitement from the players, with approximately 64 participants representing 32 teams, adding that monetary prizes were awarded to the top three winners, with the first-place team receiving 10,000 dirhams, the second-place team receiving 6,000 dirhams, and the third-place team receiving 2,000 dirhams.
He expressed his gratitude to everyone who played a part in the success of this edition, including the council's team led by Dr. Yasser Al Doukhi, Badminton Shot courts, and Al Qudra Sports Services Company. He concluded,“ We eagerly anticipate future tournaments and unique editions to come.”
