Sharjah24: His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) confirmed on Friday the successful conclusion of the activities of the 2nd edition of Kalba Beach Games, in the presence of Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba.
The closing ceremony of the session was attended by His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), and his deputy, His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani, and a number of heads and representatives of sports federations and clubs participating in the session, and officials of government departments and institutions.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council stated in an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24” that the tournament achieved remarkable success in its second edition at the level of organisation, competitions and public attendance.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami added that the Kalba Beach Games was held as part of the Council's program and its celebration of the Emirate of Sharjah's winning of the title of the Capital of Arab Sports Culture, coinciding with the organisation of the Arab Sports, Cultural and Scientific Forum.
He pointed out that the Arab delegations participating in the forum witnessed some of the tournament's competitions, which included 7 days of various sports, throughout the 7 days which were full of shows, events and competitions.
