Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the organising committee has revealed the details of the fourth Kalba Beach Games, scheduled to occur on November 8–16 along the coast of Kalba. This year's event includes seven sports categories, comprising a total of 23 games, and anticipates the participation of 4,000 male and female athletes.
On Monday, 4 November, Kalba Hanging Gardens hosted a press conference to announce the news. Attendees included Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Abdul Malik Mohammed Jani, Vice Chairman of the Council and Head of the Organising Committee; Dr Omar bin Hanifa, Deputy Chairman of the Games; and members of the Sharjah Sports Council, such as Abdullah Sultan, Engineer Adel Saleh Al Hammadi, and Dr. Yasser Omar Al Dookhi, the Games Director. Representatives from federations, participating clubs, and media outlets were in attendance as well.
In his remarks, Issa Hilal Al Hazami highlighted the event's distinctive importance within the council’s activities, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to advance sports as a community and cultural initiative, enhancing Sharjah’s profile. He conveyed his appreciation to the organising committee, as well as all federations, institutions, and clubs for their cooperation.
The conference included a documentary that highlighted key moments from the previous edition, followed by a speech from Abdul Malik Jani. He praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi and expressed gratitude to all contributors, especially the Kalba audience, whom he regarded as essential to the event’s success. The conference revealed the official logo for the games, as well as the schedule, participating organisations, and organisational structure.
The seven sports categories include a total of 23 games, showcasing the event’s expanding reach under the guidance of Abdul Malik Jani and Dr. Omar bin Hanifa as Vice Chair.
