‘Al Sidra Heritage’ in Khorfakkan consolidates Emirati folklore

Sharjah 24: Khaled Al Shehhi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), Khorfakkan Branch, confirmed that the Al Sidra Heritage Neighbourhood is one of the important facilities that consolidates folklore and cultures’ exchange, within the institute's periodic programmes organised in the neighbourhood.

Al Shehhi said to “Sharjah 24” that Al Sidra Heritage, which is a comprehensive cultural programme for adults and children, comes within the institute's series of initiatives aimed at consolidating folklore and exchanging cultures with various countries of the world.

He explained that the programme included an array of activities, including a poetry evening, a heritage lecture on the origins and roots of the Al Sidra Neighborhood, in addition to workshops and recreational competitions for children.
